I have to beg to differ on this one. Lets change the title of...

to

"White Protestant Minister charged with rape of 8-year old Tennessee girl"

....and let's see how many people take up for the criminal. Let's see how many people come on here and say "the fact that he is a white protestant minister is irrelevant". Absolutely Zero...and rightfully so. In fact, im pretty sure it would be 100X the outrage. People would want the guy beaten and hung on the spot. And rightfully so.

The story told the facts, and r13, as usual, turned the thread into a political argument about immigrants. It's funny he didn't put "the fact that the girl is from Tennessee is irrelevant". Maybe the article should read "person charged with raping other person".

The difference is nobody makes note of the individual's race if the person is white.

Al started the argument with immigrants, not me, check your facts. My whole point was that it didn't matter what the guy was, I hate those headlines that have to throw that in there.

the fact that he is here illegally IS relevant. i dont give a **** if he is mexican, bolivian, european or whatever, he is here illegally. thats just kind of icing on the cake. the fact that he raped someone makes it worse, but he shouldnt have been here in the first place.

Dude you made the second post of the thread. It was about his legal status. A article was posted. I guess they should leave out facts. Fact is a A 8 yr old girl got raped by a illegal immigrant and folks post southpark quotes and think they are cute. He was already breaking the law and committed another crime. That's not uncommon for that to be reported. Like "man high on meth attacks police officers".
